Ballycarbery Castle Caisleán Bhaile Chairbre

Ballycarbery Castle, covered by ivy, is surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Only half of the walls remained until present day, but the huge size of the castle is still truly impressive.

Directions

Ballycarbery Castle is located 3,5 kilometres west of Cahersiveen. In Cahersiveen, turn off the Wild Atlantic Way and follow Bridge Street. You will pass the barracks (which rather resemble a castle themselves) on the way. Follow the road over the bridge and turn left at the T-junction. After 1,5 kilometres turn left and follow the road to Ballycarbery Castle.
