Baltimore Beacon Dún na Séad
The white painted signal tower guarding the entrance of the harbour is Baltimore's famous landmark. Jokingly, it is sometimes also called Lot's Wife by the locals, an allusion to the bible, where Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt.
Baltimore is located on the Wild Atlantic Way. To reach Baltimore Beacon, follow the road that leads along the bay and turn left after approximately 700 meters. There is a parking area at the end of the road, from where it is only a short walk to reach the tower.
