Boyeeghter Bay Bá Íochtair
One of the most beautiful and authentic bays of Ireland is located on Rosguill Peninsula – Boyeeghter Bay. When the tide is in there are two beaches, which merge into one, when the tide is out. The wild Atlantic has in many places splitt and even carved a cave in the solid rock of the coastline. The extremly powerful tide of the bay also earned it its popular name “The Murder Hole”.
To reach Boyeeghter Bay, leave the Wild Atlantic Way about 2,5 kilometres north of the town of Downies in direction of An Méail More. 3,5 kilometeres further on the road sharply turns right and this is exactly where you have to continue on foot over meadows and pastures.
