Inisheer Inis Oírr

Inisheer is the easternmost and smallest of the three Aran Islands. A majestic fort on a slope, a shipwreck and the lighthouse are popular amongst visitors, as well as the remarkable patchwork of pastures and fields, sectionned by dry masonry.
In the south east of the island, an incomparable view presents itself on the coast, overlooking the complete panorama of the cliffs of Moher on the mainland.

Directions

To reach Inisheer take a ferry at either Dooling or Rossaveal in Connemara. There is also a flight departing at Connemara's domestic airport at Inverin.
