Sandycove Island Cnoc an Rois

West of the entrance to Kinsale Harbour, where the Ardkilly Creek flows into the sea, lies the small, uninhabited Sandycove Island. Onshore, just opposite the island lies the village of Sandycove, surrounded by forest and green pastures.

Directions

Just 2 kilometres south of Kinsale, a small road turns off the Wild Atlantic Way leading to Sandycove. The road leads along the Ardkilly Creek and passes Sandycove and the island. Taking this small detour is very recommendable.
