Ring of Beara

Ring of Beara

Beara Peninsulaโ€Ž ยท County Cork

The Ring of Beara is a 140 km long scenic coastal drive that circles the Beara Peninsula in the southwest of Ireland. The Wild Atlantic Way follows most of this route, except over the Caha Mountains between Kenmare and Glengariff. The Ring of Beara is not suitable for coaches and vehicles weighing more than 2.8 tonnes are not allowed. If you are looking for a true Ireland, you will surely love the west of the Beara peninsula, which is still a remote place with only very few tourists and unspoilt landscapes.
